MAS membership event - Money Advice Service Business Plan 2018/19


On Monday 29 January 2018, Money Advice Scotland will hold a consultation event for members on the Money Advice Service Business Plan for 2018/19

Course Description

The Money Advice Service recently published its Business Plan for 2018/19 aimed at increasing the quality and reach of services in its final year. 

To help inform our own response to the Business Plan consultation, Money Advice Scotland is seeking the views and input of its members.

Allison Barnes, Scotland Manager at the Money Advice Service, will present on the Business Plan before attendees discuss the implications for the sector in Scotland.

The 2018/19 Business Plan closely follows the publication of the new five year debt advice commissioning strategy.

As part of the consultation event, Ben Murphy, Commissioning Manager at the Money Advice Service, will also provide an update on the future debt advice strategy.

The event is scheduled to run from 10am to 3pm.  A lunch will be provided on the day so please make sure you let us know of any dietary requirements when applying online.

  • Confirmation of your application being successful in securing a place at the event will be sent to you by email approximately 10 days prior to the date of the event.
  • Money Advice Scotland cannot acknowledge receipt of all application forms, however if you wish to confirm that your application form has been received please contact a member of the Training & Support Team on 0141 572 0237.
  • While Money Advice Scotland always endeavour to be as fair as possible in the allocation of training places, the final allocation of places will be at the discretion of Money Advice Scotland.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be sent by email to Money Advice Scotland ( no later than five days prior to the date of the event where an admin fee of £20 will be charged.
  • Any changes to the original application will incur an admin fee of £20.
  • Money Advice Scotland reserves the right to cancel any course at any time in the event of low take up or any other valid reason.
